New MVCC Executive Director

From the Mountain View Community Center:

The board of directors of Mountain View Community Center is pleased to announce the selection of its new Executive Director, Jesie Holden. Jesie is a graduate of the University of Washington, Tacoma. She was Mountain View’s first employee, having served for two years as Community Coordinator. She returns at the 10th anniversary of the center.

Jesie served for over seven years at HopeSparks Family Services in Tacoma, and was most recently their Director of Development and Communications. She brings a wealth of nonprofit experience to her new role as well as a heart for the center’s mission and community.

In accepting her new role, Jesie said that she looks forward to “…serving alongside the Board of Directors and staff in creating Successful Kids, Hopeful Families and Active Seniors. It fills me with excitement and hope.”

She replaces Dave Coleman who has served as the center’s interim Executive Director for the past 21 months, and who is deeply involved in welcoming Jesie and making this a smooth and productive transition. Dave commented, “It has been a joy to serve Mountain View Community Center and to help ready the organization for an effective leadership succession. I welcome Jesie and look forward to the enthusiasm she brings to this new chapter in the life of the center.”
