Season of Creation

Sundays of September

Forest • Land • Wilderness • River

As part of our journey together through the season of time after Pentecost, we will pause in the month of September to join with thousands of congregations worldwide to celebrate the Season of Creation.

The Season of Creation is an opportunity and invitation for each of us to renew our relationship with our Creator and all creation through celebration, conversation, and commitment.

Our four themes during the month are Forest Sunday, Land Sunday, Wilderness Sunday, and River Sunday, culminating with an outdoor Service of the Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, October 4, 2020.

We are invited to celebrate the goodness of God’s gift of the world, consider the impact we have on all creation, and to imagine new and healing ways for us to care for creation— through Sunday morning Adult Education; the liturgy, music, and Biblical texts of our services; and the sermon.
