Reverse Advent Calendar

The MVLC Peace and Justice Ministry Group suggests a way that you can participate in the “waiting” of Advent, as well as help those in need: a “reverse Advent calendar.”

  1. Get a sturdy bag or box to collect your items. This is your Advent “calendar.”
  2. Each day, add an item to the box.
  3. Once you reach Christmas (or your box is full), then donate the items to the Edgewood Nourish Food Bank. You can place these items in the cart just outside the Sanctuary or contact the Food Bank (253-826-4654) to set up a time to deliver your items directly.

The Nourish Pierce County website has a list of most needed food and non-food items, which you can find HERE.
